As organizations adopt artificial intelligence, cloud services, connected products, and edge-computing technologies, they must also address an increasingly complex cybersecurity and regulatory environment. Cyber resilience is no longer limited to preventing attacks. It also requires secure product design, effective vulnerability management, incident preparedness, supply-chain oversight, business continuity, and clear governance for data and digital infrastructure.

Training Agenda

I. Regulations, Standards, and Technology Overview

The first part of the session introduces ETSI Multi-access Edge Computing, commonly known as ETSI MEC. MEC provides cloud-computing capabilities and an IT service environment closer to the network edge. Participants will explore why standardized architectures, interoperability, low-latency services, secure interfaces, and distributed infrastructure are important for modern digital services.

The workshop will then introduce the EU Cyber Resilience Act, Regulation (EU) 2024/2847. The CRA establishes horizontal cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements. The session will address security by design, manufacturer responsibilities, vulnerability handling, product lifecycle support, technical documentation, conformity assessment, and market surveillance.

II. Building a Robust Compliance Management System

Participants will learn how to develop a coordinated compliance framework based on risk assessment, documented responsibilities, internal controls, supporting evidence, monitoring, corrective actions, and continual improvement.

The session will explain the role of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 in establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an Information Security Management System. It will also show how an ISMS can support information-security governance, risk treatment, operational resilience, data protection, and audit readiness.

The workshop will address the NIS2 Directive, Directive (EU) 2022/2555, which establishes a common EU cybersecurity framework. Covered organizations must implement appropriate cybersecurity risk-management measures and processes for reporting significant incidents.

Participants will also receive an introduction to Italy’s MIMIT Cloud & Cybersecurity Voucher, established under the Ministerial Decree of 18 July 2025. The measure supports eligible Italian SMEs and self-employed professionals acquiring new or more advanced cloud-computing and cybersecurity solutions. Funding availability, eligibility criteria, and application conditions should always be checked against the latest official guidance.
