The Chinese government has made regulations to overcome environmental pollution due to the disposal of electronic products, encourage the use of resources, encourage environmentally friendly consumption, and maintain public health. What is the current status of the application of Rohs2 China?
- March 1, 2007: In the action of controlling the pollution of electronic information products came into force after being promulgated on February 28, 2006.
- July 16, 2010: Regulations for controlling pollution from electrical and electronic products are available for public commented.
- July 2016: Decree No. 39 issued to limit the use of hazardous substances in electronic products
- March 2018: Catalog The use of hazardous materials that are limited in EEE products and the exception list has been prepared
- May 16, 2019: Government Agencies Establish a System for Assessment of Hazardous Material Conformity on Electrical and Electronic Products
- November 1, 2019: The products listed in the catalog of the use of hazardous materials contained in EEE products entering the market or imported must comply with the application arrangements.
"Electrical and Electronic Products" are devices and accessories that operate using electric current or electromagnetic fields with an identification work voltage up to 1500V DC and 1000V AC, or which produces, transmit, or measure the current or terrain. This definition does not include power plant, transmission and electricity distribution equipment.
Rohs China included a battery while Rohs Ue did not.
Rohs2 China has a two -step process to limit the use of six dangerous substances.

Categories of electrical and electronic equipment that are excluded from restrictions on the use of hazardous substances based on Rohs2 China:
- Equipment for production, transmission, and electricity distribution
- Military Electric Equipment and Electronics
- Equipment designed for special or extreme conditions
- Electrical and Electronic Equipment intended for exports
- Electric and electronic products imported or temporarily serviced
- The prototype is used for research and development purposes
- Samples and products on display at the exhibition, are not intended for sale.
Something that must obey Chinarohs is not required to comply with the European Union's Rohs, and this is a misunderstanding.
The first Chinese Rohs Stepping:
There are no requirements for substitution or restrictions on toxic substances in electrical and electronic products based on Rohs2 China. Producers must label harmful substances to their products since July 1, 2016.
At present, all the regulated products must comply with the first step of Rohs2 China, which includes the appropriate labeling to help consumers and recycling factorys in identifying information about illegal substances.

Period of environmentally friendly use (EFUP)
- EFUP refers to the period of time, expressed in the year, where the toxic and dangerous substances or elements contained in the EIP remain stable in normal operating conditions without causing pollution or damage to human life or the environment.
- Producers are responsible for choosing the number of Environmental Use Period (EFUP) to comply with "Rohs China". This number is usually based on factors such as estimated service life and product improvement capabilities, as well as the potential for the release of chemicals from the product.
- EFUP is calculated by adding the expected life, the time between production and begins to be used, and the possibility of extension of life life if repair or restoration is possible.
- The start date of the period of environmentally friendly use can be demonstrated by the "manufacturing date" listed on the product.
- EFUPs that are less than or equal to 10 years must be an integer between 1 and 10. EFUPs that are more than 10 years old must be multiples of 5. If the effect is not a multiple of 5, then it must be rounded down to the nearest multiple. 5. For example, 18 years EFUP must be rounded down to 15 years.
Chinese spirit table
Producers and importers must determine and mark the period of use of environmental protection (measured in years) for a product that exceeds the concentration of certain hazardous substances. The date of manufacture must also be included. They are also required to include the name and content of harmful substances in the product instructions and sign them in their parts using the specified table. However, dangerous substance information does not need to be included in the product itself.

The 2nd Chinese Rohs Stepping:
- The products listed in the Compliance Management Catalog must comply with the limits of material restrictions based on relevant standards, and their compliance will be assessed using the conformity assessment scheme.
- Starting on November 1, 2019, producers must obtain voluntary certification and make a suitability declaration so that their products comply with Rohs2 China.
Compliance Management Catalog consists of 12 different types of products.
- Refridgerator
- air conditioning
- Washing machine
- Electric water heater
- printer
- Photocopying Machine
- Fax machine
- Television
- Monitor
- Microcomputer
- Cellular communication handset
- Telephone
The 3rd Chinese Rohs Stepping:
To demonstrate compliance with pollutant limits for E& E products, suppliers have two options:
- provide a test report from a qualified laboratory
- Make a suitability report based on the determination of pollutants for all components, spare parts, and raw materials. Suppliers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of independent statements and related technical documents
Users or platform applicants must be registered in China, and EU -based companies do not meet the requirements to submit an independent declaration.

Self -declaration
This is related to the type of conformity assessment in which suppliers (which can be in the form of producers, official representatives, etc.) independently use the appropriate method to conduct conformity assessment and submit information that verifies that electrical and electronic products are supplied to meet the requirements. relevant standards and technical requirements to limit the use of hazardous substances.
Voluntary Certification Promoted by the State
This refers to the certification process that can be selected by the business world to be carried out voluntarily, which involves a third -party certification body that verifies that electrical and electronic products meet appropriate technical standards and requirements to limit the use of hazardous substances. This process is supervised and regulated by the state uniformly.

Placement of the logo must be done on the product and can also be added to the packaging. Adding labels on packaging can facilitate customs to ensure compliance.
- If the product size is greater than 5mm times 5mm, the logo must be affixed to the product.
- For products that are too small with dimensions of less than 5mm x 5mm, the logo can only be attached to the packaging. However, in both cases, whether the logo is found in the product or packaging, the marking information must be included in the product manual.
