Fixed organic pollutants(POPS)They are organic substances that remain in the environment, accumulate in living organisms, and pose risks to human health and the environment. These materials can be transferred across the international borders via air, water, or migratory species, all the way to the areas where they have never been produced or used. It requires effective international risk management, as no region alone can manage the risks posed by these materials.

There are four lists of organized materials below   : POPS

• The first annex: POPSIt is prohibited to manufacture, market and use.
• The second annex: POPSIt is restricted to its manufacture, its marketing and its use severely.
• The third annex: POPSWhich arises as unintended secondary products from industrial processes and is subject to measures to reduce their launch.
• The fourth annex: POPSWhich is subject to special measures to waste management.
