The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) is a European legislation that aims to reduce the negative environmental impact of electronic waste. Here are some key points to know about the WEEE Directive:
EEE categories covered by WEEE :

- Producers must meet the goals of recovery, reuse and recyclability of WEEE.
Recoverability, reusability and recyclability objectives for WEEE :
- For WEEE falling under categories 1 or 4 of Annex III, 85 % is recovered and 80 % is prepared for reuse and recycling.
- For WEEE falling under category 2 of Annex III, 80 % is recovered and 70 % is prepared for reuse and recycling.
