The final goal of the Weee Directive
- The main purpose of the directive is to prevent or reduce the negative environmental effects caused by the use of resources as well as the creation and processing of Weee.
- Weee is a directive rather than an arrangement and is therefore applied by different local laws in each EU country. This results in various compatibility difficulties with compliance with the Weee directive.

Manufacturer
Some EU directives use the term "manufacturer" to refer to a particular institution responsible for offering the product subject to regulation to the market. The manufacturer is legally responsible for complying with EU directives and this responsibility cannot be transferred to others or transferred by contract.
Authorized representative
"Authorized Representative" is an exception of the obligation of compliance described earlier. If the manufacturer is located outside the EU area, it is necessary to appoint a local representative to help the producer to fulfill his responsibility and to have a person subject to national judicial authority within the country.
Although there are differences between different EU member states, the main points are:
- Product recording by brand or product category (B2B or B2C).
- Following the completion of the registration process, a unique registration number shall be given in commercial documents such as invoice and way.
- Annual or monthly reporting of the amount sold.
- Recycle.
- The display of the wheelbird with a cross sign (the Wee symbol).
Symbol for the marking of electric and electronic equipment (EEE)
The symbol, which states that EEE is collected separately, is shown with a drawn wheeled garbage box as shown below. The symbol should be marked open, legible and permanently.
