Supply Chain Due Diligence Law: Corporate Responsibility for Human Rights Compliance

Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) Effective January 1, 2023. It regulates for the first time corporate responsibility for human rights compliance in supply chains.

Essential elements of due diligence obligations include:

Fines can be imposed if companies fail to comply with their legal obligations. These can amount to €8 million or up to 2 percent of global annual sales. The sales-based penalty framework applies only On companies with annual turnover of more than €400 million.
