Hazardous Substances Restriction Directive (RoHS) is an EU law that restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE).  The following materials are restricted:

• Leading entity (0.1%) 
• mercury (0.1%) 
• cadmium (%0.01)
• hexavalent chromium (0.1%) 
• Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) (%0.1)
• PBDE) (0.1%) 
• Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (0.1%)
• butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) (0.1 %) 
• Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (%0.1)
• diisotyl phthalate (DIBP) (0.1%) 

RoHS applies to the following categories of EEE:

1. Large household appliances
2. Small household appliances
ICT equipment
4. consumer equipment
5. lighting equipment
6. Power & Electronic Tools
7. Games, entertainment and sports equipment
8. medical devices
9. Monitoring and control tools, including industrial monitoring and control tools
10. automatic distribution devices
11. anything else not covered by any of the above categories

All products with electrical and electronic components must comply with these restrictions, unless specifically excluded.

Products affected by RoHS Directive must bear the CE mark to fulfill RoHS obligations.
